Dear Director Castillo:

This is to inform you that on June 20, 2006, at 1:00 am, the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center will conduct an earthquake drill.

The drill will be hospital wide but with selective evacuation. We are targeting a training participation on earthquake preparedness of at least 400 staff; 50 physicians; 100 patients; and 100 visitors of the hospital.

We have formulated an earthquake preparedness and response plan based on a hospital setting. During the drill, we will test this plan.

We would like to invite representatives from your office to observe and evaluate our plan. We hope that with your help and with refinement after the drill, our plan can serve as a model earthquake preparedness and response plan in a hospital setting, especially in a government hospital setting.
